Education

A key element of the mission of the Kyushu University UNESCO Chair
is to train researchers working in areas relevant to Education for
Peace, Social Justice and Global Citizenship. Through
collaboration with our partners, we seek both to enhance our own
postgraduate programmes, and to build research capacity throughout
our international network. In connection with this UNESCO Chair,
the Kyushu University Education Department is expanding its range
of taught postgraduate classes in English, and widening
interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments. We also
support short-term and long-term overseas exchanges for both
students and faculty (subject to availability of funding).
Building on the Kyushu University Education Department’s new MA
double-degree programme with
National Taiwan Normal University
(launching in 2022), we plan to expand double-degree arrangements
with our international partners. We also seek to facilitate
internships with our non-university partners across Asia (see
‘partners’ page). We welcome all enquiries through the contact
form.
